All in all, this is a great representation of what life is like as an intern. It's overtime and angry consultants and the camaraderie of your fellow interns. It's exhausting and terrifying in equal parts and I think the book does a good job of showing it. I also liked how being a doctor starts to impact on the rest of his life. However, like most books about doctors/by doctors by the second half I got tired of it. And I couldn't find myself sympathetic towards the main character at all, which didn't help.
